Housing has been a hot topic in the city for many years now. Council-member Liz Keating has sponsored an Ordinance that would remove land area/unit (density) limitations in the zoning code. These changes have the potential to greatly impact the development process across the entire City.

The Ordinance failed in the City Planning Commission. Next, it moves to the City Council Committee on Equitable Growth and Housing on March 15 at 1:00 p.m. After that, it will move to City Council on March 16 at 2:00 p.m. with the recommendation or lack thereof from the Committee.

This meeting will allow us to discuss the Ordinance, answer questions, and then vote as a community as to whether or not we support the Ordinance. This vote will be presented by Council leadership to the Housing Committee, and repeated to City Council.
